1. What is Lifeline?

The Lifeline Program, introduced by the Federal Communications Commission, aims to make communication services more accessible and affordable for low-income individuals. This program offers eligible subscribers with discounts on their monthly phone service, whether through participating wireless or wireline providers. Those who qualify can get:

  • Up to $9.25 discount on their monthly phone, internet, or bundled services.
  • Up to $34.25 discount per month if they live on qualifying Tribal lands.
