So, let’s jump right into it
What is an eSIM?
In case you don’t know, an eSIM is the same as a regular SIM card just digital! It holds your phone number, account information and connects your phone to your wireless network. An eSIM can only be changed digitally because it’s an imbedded SIM card in your phone. If you’ve purchased a smartphone in the last few years, chances are it may be eSIM compatible. This means that if your phone is unlocked, you can have 2 active phone lines on it at the same time. We call this a “Dual SIM” which comes in handy if you have a personal line and a work line.
Why Is an eSIM Better?
It’s good to note that some newer phones are eSIM only – talk about the digital age am I right? This means that there is no SIM card slot, making room for a bigger battery, more memory, and even a fancier and sleeker design. This still allows you to have a dual sim because you’re able to have multiple eSIMs on one device, as long as your carrier supports this option(We do). If you’re looking to upgrade to one of these new devices, it’s probably time for you to switch to an eSIM. Because we love our planet, switching to eSIM is the better choice. It’s greener and even more secure since it can’t be stolen unlike a physical SIM. eSIMs also prevent hacking since this task can be pretty difficult due to its built-in security features.
