Meet Brian

Brian Hualde is a proud husband, father of six, and fourth-generation Arizona native who has dedicated his life to service—both in and out of uniform. A combat medic in Operation Iraqi Freedom and a U.S. military veteran, Brian’s commitment to others continued after the battlefield as he became a healthcare provider, now serving his community as a compassionate Nurse Practitioner.

As a Democrat with strong values, Brian is running for Congress to bring integrity, balance, and common-sense solutions to Washington. His mission is clear: to fight for policies that prioritize the wellbeing of everyday Americans—not corporate interests or political extremes.

He believes that every family deserves access to affordable healthcare, fair tax policies across all income levels, and a government that works for the people—not against them. Brian is an advocate for immigration reform that upholds basic human rights and creates a clear, legal pathway to citizenship for those seeking a better life.

With a background in medicine and service, Brian understands firsthand how broken systems affect real people. That’s why he’s committed to reducing wasteful government spending while reallocating resources to where they matter most—like affordable housing, early childhood education, and student debt relief.

When he’s not serving patients or meeting with constituents, Brian volunteers as a youth sports coach, mentoring the next generation. He believes deeply in safeguarding the future for our children by investing in sustainable policies today that improve the lives of all Americans tomorrow.

Brian Hualde is not a career politician—he’s a father, a veteran, and a public servant who’s ready to represent Arizona with compassion, courage, and commitment.

Issues

As a husband, father of six, veteran, and healthcare provider, I’ve spent my life serving others—and I’m running for Congress to continue that service. I believe policy should be rooted in real-world experience, compassion, and common sense. Our communities are tired of political games. They want leaders who put people before party, focus on what works, and bring practical solutions to the table. Whether it’s healthcare, housing, education, or national security, I’ll work to build unity around proven best practices—because doing right by Arizona families isn’t a partisan issue, it’s a moral one.

🇺🇸 My View on Democracy

Democracy is a promise—a commitment that elected leaders will work to build a better world for the people who choose them. That promise is being broken far too often.

There is common ground in nearly every issue, yet too many in office refuse to look for it. We see politicians say the right words but take the wrong actions—prioritizing party, profit, or power over the people they serve.

Democracy only works when leaders act with integrity, stay grounded in service, and deliver for the people. That’s exactly the kind of leadership I intend to bring to Washington.

I believe in public service rooted in accountability, integrity, and common sense. As a veteran and healthcare provider, I’ve learned that leadership is about listening and doing what you say you’ll do, following through, and never forgetting who you’re serving. Our political system should reflect that.

It’s time we put partisanship aside and return to bipartisan, results-driven legislation that serves all Americans—especially those being left behind. We must focus on issues right here at home: addiction, homelessness, broken education systems, and underfunded public safety, fire departments and EMS agencies.

Immigration

We must protect our borders and ensure that our immigration system actually works. I support strong border enforcement and deeply respect the men and women who serve as our federal agents. Those who enter this country illegally and commit crimes should not be allowed to stay.

But many who come here are fleeing violence, poverty, or persecution—seeking the same better life our own ancestors once did. We need a legal, humane, and functional pathway to citizenship that allows good people to follow the law, not fear it.

Rather than pouring more into already bloated enforcement budgets, we should reallocate resources toward case processing, legal assistance, and community awareness, so we can focus on real threats while offering dignity and direction to those who genuinely want to contribute to this country.

🇺🇸 Secure Borders, Humane Solutions

Education

Strong families start with strong schools. Our public education system is underfunded and overburdened. Teachers are stretched thin and kids are falling behind.

Every child deserves a shot at success. That starts with safe classrooms, strong curriculum, and teachers who are respected and fairly paid. Education should be about reading, writing, responsibility—and local control.

I support early education, parent involvement, and funding public schools while opposing federal overreach. A strong education is the backbone of self-reliance and economic strength.

Housing

This is a middle-class, family-first issue. Hardworking families are being priced out of the market. Rent is skyrocketing, homeownership is out of reach, and our kids can’t afford to live in the towns they grew up in. I’ll fight for smart, market-driven solutions that keep housing affordable without overregulation.

I support builders, reducing red tape that delays home construction and drives up costs, and lowering interest rate pressures from D.C. that are crushing Arizona families and small developers. Incentivizing local builders, not federal overreach and prioritizing workforce housing so our nurses, teachers, veterans, and first responders can afford to live in the communities they serve.

We must work on fair policies that stabilize housing costs and expand affordable options without adding unnecessary regulations. Protecting families and strengthening our middle class should be a shared goal.

Environmental Protections

Conservation isn’t a partisan issue—it’s a responsibility. As Arizonans, we value our open lands, clean air, and water. I support balanced energy policies that promote innovation, protect public lands, and secure our environment for future generations.

Climate change is real, and we should be leading—not lagging—when it comes to renewable energy and sustainable job creation. Protecting the land we love is a conservative value too.

I’ll support balanced, pro-jobs energy policies that protect our natural resources and help Arizona lead in clean innovation.

I support focusing on water conservation, wildfire prevention, and energy independence encouraging local solutions and stewardship.

Conservation is Conservative

US National Security

As a veteran, I believe in a strong national defense—but also in a focused, disciplined foreign policy. We’ve spent trillions overseas while our own communities face homelessness, addiction, and crumbling infrastructure. That needs to change.

It’s time to refocus on security at home:

• Support border security with real resources. • Tackle the fentanyl crisis head-on. • Invest in cybersecurity to protect American systems. • Ensure veterans get the care and support they’ve earned.

I deeply respect our armed forces. Deploying troops on U.S. soil must be a last resort—never a political stunt. I proudly served this country, and I’ll fight to make sure America’s strength starts at home.

Protecting America Starts at Home

Healthcare

Drug prices in this country have become outrageous. For many Americans, life-saving medications are out of reach unless they have top-tier insurance—and most don’t. We need to hold pharmaceutical companies accountable for charging sky-high prices for medications that cost pennies to produce. No one should have to choose between their health and their rent.

The recent budget reconciliation bill threatens to cut healthcare coverage for millions of Americans—including hundreds of thousands right here in Arizona. Medicaid recipients are at risk of losing care, and the long-term consequences will be devastating. As a nurse practitioner—and the father of a child with complex medical needs—I know firsthand what’s at stake when care is denied. These aren’t just numbers on a page; these are families, children, veterans, and seniors who rely on access to care to survive.

We need legislation that protects the most vulnerable, improves access, and ensures that every American can live in a safe and healthy country. Healthcare should not be a privilege—it’s a moral obligation.

As a practicing Christian and a father of six, my views on abortion are deeply personal. My wife and I have never made that decision—but I believe that’s a deeply private matter between a patient, their doctor, and their faith. It is not the government’s role to make that decision for someone else. I trust women—and I trust the doctors who care for them.

That’s why I support comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including access to contraception, prenatal care, family planning services, and medically accurate education. These resources help reduce unintended pregnancies, support healthy families, and give people the tools to make informed choices about their health and their futures.

I believe in: Putting Patients First.

LGBTQ+

I believe every American—regardless of who they are—deserves the same freedoms, the same protections, and the same respect under the law. We don’t have to agree on everything to agree that no one should lose a job, housing, or safety just because of who they are.

As a veteran, I took an oath to protect the rights of all Americans. That includes protecting the freedoms of LGBTQ+ citizens to live their lives without discrimination or fear. I believe in freedom of belief and freedom from persecution—those two values can and must coexist.

Respect, Freedom, and Equal Protection.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just buzzwords—they’re essential values that ensure opportunity, fairness, and dignity for all. Whether it’s addressing bias, creating equitable access to advancement, or protecting workers from discrimination, DEI policies help build stronger, more inclusive workplaces and communities.

Every American deserves a fair shot at success. I support policies that ensure workplace fairness—not quotas or mandates, but respect, decency, and opportunity for all.

I support equal opportunity, anti-discrimination, and veteran’s protections while promoting workplace fairness and American dignity
