Alabama’s First District brings together the richness of Alabama and all its beauty. Jerry believes we need strong representation fighting for conservative values in Congress. He’s an outsider, a job creator, and a businessman looking to get things done. Like President Trump, he doesn’t take no for an answer and will fight for our conservative values.

Biography

Born in Mobile, Jerry Carl started his first company at the age of 25 and grew that small business into numerous other companies throughout the region. In all, Jerry has started over ten different companies ranging from real estate to healthcare and timber, to even the manufacturing of church furniture.

Being an entrepreneur has filled much of Jerry’s time, but nothing could take Jerry away from his wife of over 37 years, Tina. They grew their family with the births of their children and proudly watched each one of them become successful in their own rights. One son became a Marine, another a successful insurance agent, and their only daughter heard the call to become a teacher. Today, much of their time is spent chasing grandchildren around their family farm. When Jerry was frustrated with the direction of Mobile’s local government, he ran for County Commission where he still serves today. Throughout his time on the Commission, he has proven to be a vocal fiscal hawk and advocate for pro-growth, job-creating policies. He abstained from taking a tax‑payer funded salary his first two years in office, consistently votes against raising taxes, and is laser‑focused on creating economic opportunities so good-paying jobs can be created right here in our community.

Like President Trump, Jerry isn’t afraid to make unpopular decisions that are right for Alabama. As an avid hunter, Jerry is a lifelong supporter of our Second Amendment rights and as a Christian saved by God’s grace, Jerry believes all human life should be protected from the moment of conception.

Jerry Carl has always had President Trump’s back – from his first campaign in 2016 to defending him from the sham witch hunts during the 2020 and 2024 campaigns. In Congress, Jerry will continue to work alongside President Trump to make our country safer, stronger, and more prosperous than ever before.

Kick Out Illegals & Build the Wall

Jerry Carl understands that illegal immigration is a direct threat to our national security. In Congress, Jerry worked to pass one of the strongest border security bills in history, including funding to build a border wall and hire a record number of Border Patrol agents. Jerry will always do whatever it takes to keep the American people safe.

Defend Our Second Amendment Rights

As an avid hunter, Jerry Carl is a lifelong supporter of the Second Amendment and will defend our right to bear and keep arms. He always stands up to the liberals who want to take away our guns, and he’s received a 100% rating from Gun Owners of America and been previously endorsed by the NRA-Political Victory Fund.

Keep Men Out of Women’s Sports

As a dad, this issue is personal to Jerry. He has led the charge to protect women’s sports, and he will work with President Trump to always fight for YOU, not they/them.

Put Parents In Charge of Their Children’s Education

Jerry Carl strongly believes parents should be in charge of their children’s education and keep critical race theory and woke ideology out of the classroom. Jerry knows we can’t let liberals indoctrinate American kids with anti-American propaganda, racial division and a sexual and gender agenda that is inappropriate for children.

Restore Fiscal Sanity & Bring Down Inflation

As a small-businessman, Jerry Carl believes Washington needs to live within its means, just like families and small-businesses do every day. That’s why he supports a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution and believes Members of Congress should go without pay until they balance the budget. Jerry even refused to accept a taxpayer-funded salary before a potential government shutdown. As a fiscal conservative who believes government spending is out-of-control, Jerry has consistently voted against wasteful spending in Congress and he supported the largest deficit reduction and spending cuts ever voted on by Congress.

Give Our Veterans the Best Care Possible

South Alabama is home to a large and proud veteran community, and Jerry has a proven record of fighting for our veterans. Whether it is pushing for greater access to care or pushing back against federal bureaucrats, Jerry will always put our veterans first.

Back the Blue & Keep Us Safe

Jerry Carl believes that defunding the police and other soft-on-crime policies have led to higher crime rates and put families at risk. In Congress, Jerry has always been a strong supporter of law enforcement, making sure our hard-working police officers have the support they need to do their jobs. Jerry will always support cops over criminals.

Stand with Israel & Against China and Iran

Jerry Carl has always stood strong with our allies like Israel and wants America to get tough on our enemies like China and Iran. In Congress, Jerry introduced legislation to prevent the Biden administration from allowing Iran to continue developing nuclear weapons and threatening our global and regional security interests. Jerry agrees with President Trump that peace always comes through strength.

Protect Life & the Unborn

Jerry Carl is 100% pro-life and opposes any tax dollars being used to fund abortions. He believes life is a gift from God and supported the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

Advocate for our Farmers

Farming and forestry are critical to South Alabama’s economy, and Jerry Carl has always had our farmers’ backs. Jerry has traveled extensively across the First District to meet with our farmers and learn more about how he can best fight for them in Congress.
