My name is Larry Jackson, and I am a Republican candidate for United States House of Representatives, District 01 of Southern West Virginia in 2026. I have a love for Southern West Virginia. If given the chance, I will fight vigorously to make our district a better place. As a father of six, I am married to my high school sweetheart, April, and we reside in Hanover, where I own and operate Eastern Equipment, LLC. I was born and raised in Southern West Virginia. Growing up, I came from a low-income family who spent their life struggling daily just to make ends meet. As I got older, I realized I wanted more for myself and my family. I was working part time as a security guard, making $5 dollars an hour. I saved up $1,000 dollars with that and my laptop and started my business. Eight years later, I have been very successful in buying and selling construction equipment.

I built Eastern Equipment from the ground up entirely by myself. I take much pride in what I do, and my goal is to make every customer a repeat customer. I have also bought and sold property in several states. Living in this area all my life, I see daily and know all too well the struggles that we all face. I love our great state, and I plan to make our district and the Country even better by tackling the drug epidemic which seems to be rising, supporting West Virginia’s energy industries like coal, oil, and gas. I will fight to cut regulations on coal and gas. In turn this will create more jobs and more opportunities. I will work side by side with our President, Donald Trump, to enhance his America First Agenda. I will fight to bring more resources and federal funds to Southern West Virginia.

I will fight to stop the overreach of government as we all benefit more by less government, not more. I plan to build this district up, so that we bring more people to our area, instead of people moving away. I know the struggles that many Southern West Virginians face. I know what it is like to be on a fixed income. The struggle and worry of having to make ends meet just to be able to feed your family. As said above, there are many issues that need to be addressed, and I will fight wholeheartedly to see We, The People, of District 01, get what we deserve and these issues we face daily are taken care of.

I will also fight for criminal justice reform. One of the issues a lot of people face, not only in Southern WV, but across this great Nation. Lower taxes, and I will fight vigorously to defend our 2nd Amendment rights. I will also fight for more transparency within the government! Remember, the government is run by We The People! The government works for us, not us for them! Far too long this has been the way of Washington, DC and the bureaucrats! We The People are more prosperous when less government is involved in our day-to-day lives. So, whether you’re Republican, Democrat, Independent, or somewhere in-between. I will fight for you, The People! My door will always be open, or always a phone call away. I humbly ask for your support and vote!

Economy & Jobs

My America First view on the economy and jobs is about prioritizing U.S. workers, manufacturing, and industries; protecting against foreign competition; and ensuring policies favor domestic prosperity over global commitments.

Energy

An energy policy for West Virginia and the U.S. means unleashing coal, natural gas, and oil production; cutting regulations; keeping energy cheap and reliable; and putting American jobs and independence ahead of global climate deals.

Inflation

We see inflation as the result of America’s dependence on foreign imports, high energy costs, and reckless government spending. The solution is to restore energy independence by expanding U.S. oil, natural gas, and coal production, rebuild domestic manufacturing and supply chains, cut wasteful federal spending, and use fair trade and tariffs to protect American jobs. Supporting U.S. workers through vocational training, enforcing immigration laws to protect wages, and strengthening farmers and food security are central. In short, the path forward is making America self-reliant again and always putting American workers, families, and businesses first.

Second Amendment

I am a 2nd Amendment Absolutionist. I will fight for nationwide reciprocity, open and concealed carry rights, red flag laws, repealing gun control laws already on the books, and making sure non-violent felons who have completed their sentences are able to regain their 2nd Amendment rights.

Pro-Life Champion

As a Pro-Life Champion I stand for protecting the unborn while also defending the rights of families, doctors, and patients against government intrusion. It also means I am protecting life and preserving freedom—so every American is secure in both their values and their privacy.

Strengthen The Border

My border plan puts U.S. security, jobs, and communities first. By enforcing the law, finishing the wall, and stopping drugs and trafficking, America protects its sovereignty. West Virginia plays a key role by deploying its Guard, bearing the brunt of the drug crisis, and serving as a strong voice for secure borders in Washington.

Conservative Judges

My approach to the courts means appointing conservative, originalist judges who defend the Constitution, protect American sovereignty, and ensure that the judiciary serves the people—not unelected elites or special interests.

Crime, Law, & Order My approach to crime means standing firmly with law enforcement, restoring accountability, and protecting our communities. I will work fund police, not defund them; ensuring officers have the tools, training, and respect they need to keep our streets safe. I will back prosecutors and judges who enforce the law, not those who let criminals walk free. I will work to secure the border to stop drugs, cartels, and human traffickers from flooding our towns. I will work to crack down on gangs, repeat offenders, and violent criminals with tougher penalties and no tolerance for soft-on-crime policies. I will support victims, not criminals, making sure families feel safe in their neighborhoods, schools, and businesses. Law and order is the foundation of freedom. I put the safety of our citizens first, honors our men and women in blue, and ensures that justice is fair, swift, and strong.

Healthcare

As a congressman I will use legislative, appropriations, oversight, and partnership tools to strengthen hospitals and healthcare access. I work to Secure Federal Funding, .Reform Rules and Regulations, Build Local Partnerships and Protect Existing Healthcare Access.
