Meet Morgan Murphy

Trump Tested. Alabama’s Own.

I’m not a politician. I’m a father, business owner, Navy officer, and Afghanistan vet. Like many Alabamians, I lived perfectly happily far from the DC Swamp until 2020, when masks became muzzles and DEI became the state religion. Determined to help President Trump fight the Marxist ideology of the radical left, I went to Washington.

I’m honored to have served President Donald J. Trump (in both terms) and Coach Tommy Tuberville in the Senate. Along the way I learned DC hates leaders they can’t control. The DC blob of lawyers, lobbyists, and career politicians despise Trump and Tuberville, and they’re hoping Alabama’s next Senator will be business-as-usual.

Now, more than at any time since 1776, America’s foundational ideas are under attack. Ordinary citizens must speak up and speak out against the sinister ideologies spreading across our country. Together we can make America and Alabama great again.

Working for President Trump

Morgan served President Trump not once, but twice—most recently as Senior Public Diplomacy Advisor to the Special Envoy for Ukraine, and in his first term as Press Secretary to the U.S. Secretary of Defense during some of the most turbulent moments in recent history. He stood by President Trump through it all, right up to the final day of the administration.

As National Security Advisor to Senator Tommy Tuberville, Morgan carried the same America First principles to the Senate—opposing the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, exposing woke Pentagon policies, increasing Navy shipbuilding, demanding accountability for wasteful spending, and fighting for constitutional and pro-life values.

The Captain’s Plank

The greatest honor of my career has been working for President Trump in both his first and second terms.

In 2020, I served as a close advisor and press secretary to Defense Secretary Christopher Miller and Deputy Secretary of Defense Kash Patel. While many others abandoned President Trump, we stuck with the boss through to his last day, 20 January 2021.

In 2025, I was proud to join President Trump’s second term as the Senior Public Diplomacy Advisor to the Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine, Lt. Gen. (ret.) Keith Kellogg. As a member of President Trump’s team to end the war, I deeply admire my president’s heartfelt desire to stop the deadliest war in Europe since World War II.

Put Me In Coach

After President Trump left office in 2021, many gave up on the MAGA movement. Not me. I stayed in Washington to fight the crazy left by joining Alabama’s newly elected senator, Tommy Tuberville.

Tommy Tuberville is one of the strongest America First voices in the U.S. Senate. Others talk, but Coach actually fights for Alabama’s conservative values. I’m running because we can’t let just any “Republican” take his seat.

As Coach’s national security advisor, I was proud to help Coach advance the MAGA agenda in national defense, foreign policy, intelligence, and nuclear infrastructure. I worked with him on opposing President Biden’s shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan, exposing woke policies inside the Department of Defense, cutting wasteful Pentagon programs, forcing the Department of Defense to pass an audit, avoiding getting our country into a proxy war with Russia over Ukraine, and standing up to President Biden’s unconstitutional and immoral policy of taxpayer-funded abortion on demand.

While with Coach, I led our team to examine every project by asking three basic questions:

  • Is it in the best interest of America’s national security?
  • Is it responsible to the U.S. taxpayer?
  • Is it good for the people of Alabama?

That is the same criterion I’ll put before every bill I vote on in the United States Senate, always putting America and Alabama First.

Military Service

Growing up, I listened to my grandfathers’ war stories from World War II and Korea. Like their grandfathers before them, they’d proudly worn the cloth of their nation to defend the values we hold so dear. That tradition of family service is why I joined the U.S. Navy in 1999.

For 26 years, I’ve served the world’s greatest navy, wherever it has taken me, from Afghanistan to Morocco, Korea to the halls of the Pentagon.

The U.S. Navy demands discipline, fitness, organization, and courage. Leading our nation’s young sailors as an officer has taught me responsibility—a privilege I take seriously. Our brave warriors will always be front and center in my Senate deliberations.

Alabama Always

My family has called Alabama home for generations. Both my parents, like their parents before them, grew up in South Alabama. My sister, mother, grandmother, cousins, and aunts taught generations of schoolchildren here in the state. My grandfather, uncle, and cousins practiced law. My dad even made Bear Bryant’s commercials.

Before politics, I was Southern Living’s travel editor, food critic, and spokesman, promoting Southern values and small businesses to millions. The magazine published four of my books celebrating our food, life, and culture.

I feel fortunate to have grown up in Alabama, graduating from high school and college here in the Great State. And if you’re wondering what team I pull for, I did spend eight years teaching writing and journalism ethics at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide).

Although I’ve worked and traveled around the world, my heart belongs to the red clay dirt of my home state. Twenty years ago, I bought a house and moved just down the street from where I grew up. Why? I wanted my son to know and be steeped in the old-fashioned values that still beat strongly in the Heart of Dixie.

Most permanent DC politicians only come home to campaign. That won’t be me. Whenever I’m not fighting for you in the capital, you’ll find me back here in our great state, playing in the backyard with my son and dog, spending time with friends and family, attending football games on Saturday and church on Sundays, or just tinkering on a vintage car in the garage.

Protecting Free Speech

Our nation is under attack. The left wants diversity in everything but thought. But I will make sure Alabama‘s values are heard in Washington, D.C. and will fight to my last breath to defend our First Amendment rights. As Alabama’s Senator, I’ll dismantle the censorship machine, protect every patriot’s voice, and ensure our faith and freedom stand tall against those who seek to silence us.

Crushing Crime

We don’t have to live like this. Young women should not be afraid to ride the bus or walk alone at night. Children should not be shot during prayer services. Conservative Presidential candidates and free-speech patriots must not be gunned down before the nation. I’ll wage war on crime to keep our communities safe from the chaos fueled by failed Democrat policies. As your Senator, I’ll demand severe punishment for criminals, empower our police, and make sure criminals and thugs stay where they belong—behind bars.

America First National Defense

Send a proven fighter, not a follower. As a Navy Captain and Afghanistan veteran, I’ve seen firsthand the cost of weak leadership and dumb decisions that put other nations’ priorities ahead of our own. America must lead from strength, not apology. I’ll rebuild our military, restore discipline, and equip our troops to deter aggression. I won’t let America get sucked into another senseless, endless war.

Priorities

  • Double the size of the U.S. Navy and invest in shipbuilding right here in Alabama.
  • End woke social experiments, and restore discipline in our armed forces.
  • Ensure our troops have the best equipment, training, and support.
  • Oppose endless wars, and demand clear, achievable missions.
  • Deter threats with strength.

Seal the Border

President Biden’s reckless border policy invited millions of unvetted illegal aliens into our country. Even though President Trump swiftly sealed our border, it will take years of careful oversight to reverse Biden’s mismanagement.

As Alabama’s next Senator, I’ll fight to codify President Trump’s immigration executive orders, ensuring no Democrat President can undo them. I’ll back Trump’s mass deportation and border enforcement plans as his strongest ally in Congress.

We as a nation can never again allow millions of foreign aliens to invade our country.

Common-Sense Immigration

You and I, as citizens, have the right to decide who comes to our country. By a wide majority, Americans want common-sense controls on legal immigration. Yet the number of foreign-born people living in the United States sits at the highest levels in our nation’s history. Having worked at the State Department, I’ve seen why. As your senator, I will offer reforms to our immigration system including ending the Diversity Lottery as well as visa categories riddled with fraud such as the U visa and EB-5 visa.

Furthermore, I support reducing the number of immigrants the U.S. takes in from over one million a year to just several hundred thousand. Under the Murphy plan, their qualifications for entering the country will be based solely on merit. And their values must align with the beliefs of our constitutional republic.

The U.S. immigration system needs a top-to-bottom overhaul to ensure that all legal immigrants are aligned with our nation’s customs and values. Immigrants who hate the West and Western culture, want to topple our systems, and seek to destroy our culture need not apply.

Impeach Rogue Judges

Federal judges have become activists for the Democrat Party, deep state, and special interests. Some even claim Congress can’t defund Planned Parenthood.

Judges who usurp their Constitutional duties to stop President Trump’s agenda need to be impeached. Now.

Unfortunately, every Democrat and many Republican senators have let these judges run wild, threatening our judiciary’s foundations.

I’ll follow the Coach Tuberville playbook and move to impeach any judge who weaponizes the court against our President, his cabinet, or the Constitution.

Root Out DEI Ideology

“Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” policies are toxic, Marxist ideology in disguise. These DEI policies pit Americans against each other and are the most dangerous threat we face. I will not shy away from calling out DEI ideology that seeks equity over equality and diversity over merit.

As your Senator, I will offer a bill that will make DEI policies in the federal government illegal. I will vote down any federal contracts with any corporation, non-profit organization, school, or university that has a DEI policy.

Protect Women’s Sports

Nothing shows the left’s insanity more than their refusal to acknowledge biological sex. Lunatic activists are pushing transgender ideology into our schools, our laws, and even our children’s healthcare. I will fight to protect children from irreversible harm, defend women’s sports, and preserve the truth that men and women are different by design.

Priorities

  • Ban taxpayer funding for gender transition procedures on minors.
  • Protect parental rights in schools and ban social transitioning for minors.
  • Defend women’s sports by ensuring biological males cannot compete against women.
  • Oppose federal mandates that force schools, businesses, or churches to adopt radical gender policies.
  • Uphold the rights of faith-based organizations and individuals to live out their beliefs without government punishment.

Protect Gun Ownership

Only through the right of the Second Amendment can the liberties of the First Amendment be guaranteed. What part of “shall not be infringed” is unclear?

I raised my right hand and pledged my life to defend these rights, designed by our wise founders and guaranteed by our Constitution. Gun control laws only punish law-abiding citizens, while criminals ignore them. I will defend your Constitutional right to protect yourself and your family.

Priorities

  • Oppose federal gun registries that target law-abiding citizens.
  • Support crackdowns on gangs and cartel members who traffic illegal firearms.
  • Defend against “red flag” laws that undermine due process protections.

America First Foreign Policy

I served twice for President Trump, helping to craft an America First foreign policy that put our country—not global elites—at the center of every decision. I know what it means to stand up to China, hold our NATO allies accountable, and keep America out of costly, unnecessary wars.

Priorities

  • Hold China accountable for trade abuses, intellectual property theft, and COVID-19.
  • Demand NATO allies pay their fair share.
  • End blank checks to foreign governments. America’s interests come first.
  • Oppose globalist policies that undermine our sovereignty.

Abolish the IRS & Enact the Fair Tax

The Internal Revenue Service is a weaponized bureaucracy that punishes hardworking Americans and small businesses. And it’s an outdated, inefficient, and expensive drag on our prosperity, costing the American economy $1 trillion for every $3 trillion collected in taxes. It’s time for a tax revolution.

Priorities

  • Abolish the IRS and eliminate the federal income tax—forever.
  • Replace our broken tax code with a simple, fair national sales tax—the Fair Tax.
  • Make taxes transparent and constitutional—no more hidden loopholes.
  • Empower families and small businesses to keep more of what they earn.
  • End government overreach into your bank account and private life.
  • Tax those who have avoided income tax for years including illegal aliens and multinational corporations that hire foreigners instead of Americans.

Government Accountability & Spending

As a business leader with an MBA, I know how to balance a budget and demand accountability. Washington is addicted to spending your money, and career politicians have forgotten whom they work for. We don’t have a revenue problem. America has a spending problem.

  • Audit every federal agency—no more blank checks.
  • Cut wasteful, duplicative, and outdated government programs.
  • Demand a balanced budget amendment—Washington must live within its means.
  • Support term limits for Congress.
  • Increase transparency so taxpayers can see where their money goes.

Energy & Environment

Alabama’s natural resources and innovation make us an energy leader. A third of our grid is nuclear, but it’s aging. We need inexpensive, clean, reliable power.

Priorities

  • Invest in next-generation, safe nuclear power—zero emissions, reliable energy.
  • Cut red tape and speed up permitting for new energy projects.
  • Bring back clean, safe Thorium as a nuclear power source.
  • Make Alabama a national leader in nuclear research and manufacturing.
  • Support American oil and gas.
  • Protect our land, air, and water for future generations.
