Travis is a third generation Arizonan. Travis who attended public schools through High School and then Scottsdale Community College and Arizona State University. During college he enlisted in the United States Air Force / Arizona Air National Guard’s 161st Air Refueling Wing. Travis was selected for Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, TX and ultimately earned his wings in August of 2003.
Travis currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and is serving as an Aircraft Commander, Evaluator and Instructor Pilot in the Arizona Air National Guard with over 3,000 hours in the KC135, in a variety of combat and non-combat roles. He is also the former 197th Air Refueling Squadron Commander and currently serves as the 161st Air Refueling Wing Deputy Operations Group Commander.
Utilizing the skills he learned growing up in Arizona and through his experiences in the military, Travis joined International Air Response Inc. (IAR) in 2003 as the Vice President in charge of Operations and purchased the company with his brother in 2009. Travis served as the Chief Operations Officer at IAR’s HQ in Mesa, AZ, helping to build a multi-million dollar company that brought hundreds of jobs to Arizona. He sold his interest in 2017.
Travis also served in the Arizona House of Representatives, representing the people of Gilbert in Arizona’s 14th Legislative District. He served as Speaker Pro Tempore, Chairman of the House Rules Committee and was a member of the House Ways and Means Committee during his final term. Travis honored his term limits and returned to the private sector when his time was done. While in the Legislature, Travis played a key role in achieving a number of conservative goals, including Universal School Choice, a low flat state income tax, Civil Asset Forfeiture Reform, Arizona’s first anti-grooming law, and numerous pro-job and anti-regulatory reforms. Travis also had a 100% pro-2nd Amendment, pro-family, and pro-life voting record.
Travis and his wife Patricia reside in Gilbert, AZ and have two daughters, Katelyn and Kristyn.
Border security
Border Security was a focus of mine in the Legislature and a major reason I supported President Trump since Day One. I’ll back efforts to finish the border wall, support the men and women of our border patrol 100%, and work to ensure those here illegally are deported rapidly and in accordance with our laws. Legal immigration is a blessing that welcomes those who want to be American and contribute to our great nation. Illegal immigration makes a mockery of all of that and it is time to end it once and for all.
PRESIDENT TRUMP
One of the questions I get asked the most is if I support President Trump, and how long have I supported President Trump? I still remember the day he came down the escalator, and my brother and I were such enthusiastic supporters that we volunteered our company hangar at Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport for one of his early rallies in 2015. We were honored to host him again as President in 2018 when he came to Arizona to campaign for our Republican candidates, and the images of his airplane on the ground in front of our hangar, with thousands of people inside and out, remains an iconic image that makes me feel proud every time I see it.
FEDERAL BUDGET / NATIONAL DEBT
Too few in Congress are taking our national debt seriously, as evidenced by the continued deficits racked up year after year. Our national debt exceeds $36 Trillion and we are adding an additional $1 trillion every 170 days, even in spite of efforts by DOGE to tackle wasteful spending. Payments on the interest alone are approaching $1.5 trillion a year, and we are quickly approaching a point at which the international markets will have no appetite to purchase additional debt. The global economic ramifications of this cannot be understated, nor can the damage that will be done to America’s markets, investments, and consumers. An effective Balanced Budget Amendment is needed and I will make it a top priority to push for its introduction and passage.
JOBS / OUR ECONOMY
While in the Arizona legislature, I helped Arizona rebuild an economy that became the envy of the country. We were a top state for job creation, people and businesses were flocking here, and we did all of this while cutting taxes and reining in government spending. I support efforts by President Trump to reduce the size of the federal workforce and cut spending, and I look forward to pushing for policies that will in turn grow our private sector and increase the productivity of our nation.
NATIONAL SECURITY
Given my background, this issue is personal for me. I know how important it is for America to be strong and to lead. I know the value of a military that recruits with the only boxes that need checking are those that indicate patriotism, commitment, and the physical and mental skills necessary to do the work that must be done to keep us safe. President Trump has made it clear we will no longer play policeman for the world and our allies need to step up and do more, but our enemies will test us again, and we must be ready to achieve peace through overwhelming strength.
HONORING OUR VETERANS
Honoring them means keeping our promises to them, especially when it comes to medical care and support in their retirement. Our men and women have needs ranging from physical infirmities to emotional damage to mental health challenges that each require care and attention. I’ll work with the Department of Defense, the VA, and any other government entities to ensure that the promises we made when they enlisted, are kept and fully honored.
PROTECTING SENIORS
We know hard choices are going to have to be made as the bills eventually come due for America and our massive national debt. But our seniors were guaranteed things in exchange for paying into a sytem their entire working life, and they should be able to rely on those guarantees. That’s why I’ll fight to protect seniors and the entitlements they rely on to get medical care and pay for life’s necessities.
ELECTION INTEGRITY
Here’s a radical idea sure to enrage liberals – How about elections where only legal voters get to vote, where ballots are securely maintained and counted, and where election results are reported that same night, with exact final numbers taking a few days instead of weeks to be known? It used to be that way and in other states it is that way, and it is not okay for Arizona to still be using a process that adds uncertainty and suspicion to a vital part of our Republic’s survival. As your Congressman I’ll also work to ban ranked choice voting or any other schemes designed to manipulate voter behaviors or outcomes.
OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
As a state lawmaker I had a 100% voting record on issues related to the 2nd Amendment, the 1st Amendment, parental rights, and more. I won awards from groups involved in these issues because I didn’t just vote right, I got involved in the issues, sponsored bills, and helped them to pass. I’ll do the same in Washington D.C. and keep my oath to defend our Constitution against ALL enemies – foreign AND domestic.
PROTECTING LIFE
Life is the very first right guaranteed in our Declaration of Independence and I am proud to be the only candidate in this race with a 100% pro-life voting record. In Congress, I will continue my fight to protect women and children, I’ll vote to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood and other organizations that fund abortions, and I’ll work with faith and pro-family groups to help grow a culture of life across our country.
