Representative Chester Louis Mize

Chester Louis Mize (born December 25, 1917) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from Kansas. He represented Kansas’s 2nd Congressional District and served three terms in Congress. His tenure in the U.S. House began on January 4, 1965, and concluded on January 3, 1971, marking six years of legislative service at the federal level.

During his time in office, Mize served as a representative for Kansas at a period of significant national political and social change. As a Republican, he was part of his party’s congressional delegation from Kansas, contributing to the work of the House from the mid-1960s through the start of the 1970s. After leaving office in 1971, he was regarded as a former member of Congress, with his service identified primarily with his role as Representative for Kansas’s 2nd District.
