Representative Edwin Martin Schaefer

Edwin Martin Schaefer (born May 14, 1887) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from Illinois. He represented Illinois’s 22nd congressional district and served five consecutive terms in Congress. Schaefer’s tenure in the House began on March 9, 1933, and concluded on January 3, 1943, marking a full decade of legislative service at the federal level.

During his time in office, Schaefer served as a Representative for Illinois under the banner of the Democratic Party.
