Senator James Francis Byrnes

James Francis Byrnes (born May 2, 1882) was a Democratic senator from the state of South Carolina who served in the United States Congress during the early twentieth century. Identified in congressional records by the bioguide ID B001215, he represented South Carolina in the U.S. Senate as a member of the Democratic Party. His tenure in the Senate began on April 4, 1911, and continued until December 31, 1941, marking a lengthy period of service in national office.
