John Calvin Fleming Jr. (born July 5, 1951) is an American politician, physician, and former naval officer serving as Treasurer of Louisiana since 2024. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as White House Deputy Chief of Staff under President Donald Trump and was the U.S. representative for Louisiana’s 4th congressional district from 2009 to 2017. After working as a family doctor and businessman, Fleming was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008. He was only the second Republican to hold his House seat since Reconstruction. In December 2024, he announced his candidacy for the United States Senate in 2026, challenging incumbent Bill Cassidy.
