Representative Raymond Smiley Springer

Raymond Smiley Springer (born April 26, 1882) was a Republican politician who represented Indiana in the United States House of Representatives. Serving as a member of Congress from Indiana’s 10th congressional district, he held office as a U.S. Representative for a decade, from January 3, 1939, to January 3, 1949. Over the course of his congressional service, Springer completed five terms in the House.

During his tenure, Representative Springer served as a historical member of Congress from Indiana at a time spanning the late 1930s through the end of the 1940s. Identified in congressional records by the bioguide ID S000755, he was part of the Republican Party delegation in the House. Springer left office as a former member after his service concluded in 1949, marking the end of his decade-long role in national legislative affairs.
