Representative Samuel Shaw Arentz

Samuel Shaw Arentz (born January 8, 1879) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives who represented the state of Nevada. Serving as an at-large Representative, he held federal office during the early decades of the twentieth century, a period of significant political and economic change in both Nevada and the nation.

Arentz began his congressional service on April 11, 1921, and remained in office until March 3, 1933. Over the course of these years, he completed five terms in the House of Representatives. Throughout this time, he served as a Republican representative for Nevada’s at-large district, participating in the legislative work of Congress on behalf of his state.

During his tenure, Arentz was a historical member of Congress from Nevada, identified in congressional records under the bioguide ID A000277. His service concluded in 1933, and he is recognized as a former member of the House of Representatives who played a role in Nevada’s federal representation during the 1921–1933 period.
