About Representative Stanley Henry Kunz
Stanley Henry Kunz (born September 26, 1864) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from Illinois. Representing Illinois’s 8th Congressional District, he served as a federal legislator during the early decades of the twentieth century. His tenure in Congress placed him among the historical members who helped shape national policy in the post–World War I and pre–New Deal era.
Kunz began his service in the U.S. House of Representatives on April 11, 1921, and remained in office until March 3, 1933. Over the course of these nearly twelve years, he served six terms as a Representative. During this period, he was identified with the Democratic Party and represented the interests of his Illinois constituents in the 8th District. After leaving office in 1933, he held the status of a former member of Congress.
