Representative Bryan Cutler Contact information

Bryan Dean Cutler was born on April 2, 1975, in Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania, U.S. He is an American politician and a member of the Republican party. Cutler represents the 100th legislative district of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He was first elected in 2006, defeating incumbent Gibson C. Armstrong.

Cutler has held several key positions in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He served as the Majority Leader from December 1, 2018, to June 22, 2020, and again from December 1, 2022, to February 8, 2023. He was the 141st Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, holding office from June 22, 2020, to November 30, 2022. As of February 8, 2023, he is the Minority Leader of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Cutler was born in Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania, and attended Solanco High School. He graduated from Lancaster School of Radiology in 1995 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College in 2001. He worked as an X-ray technologist at Lancaster Regional Medical Center and as a Manager of Support Services at Lancaster General Hospital. In 2006, he earned a J.D. degree with a certificate in health care from Widener University School of Law. He served on the Drumore Township Planning Commission and represented Drumore Township in the Regional Planning Commission.

Cutler has also led efforts to ensure only the people eligible for human service assistance receive the help they need, helped reform the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), promoted greater integrity and transparency in state government strengthening lobbyist disclosure law, and most recently leading efforts to establish a state-based health insurance exchange and reforming Pennsylvania’s election laws.

Cutler and his wife, Jennifer, have three children, Cheyanne, Caleb, and Drew. The family lives on an 11-acre “hobby farm” in the same log cabin home where Bryan grew up. The Cutlers are active members of the Wrightsdale Baptist Church.
