Representative Allen Treadaway
Allen Treadaway is an American Republican politician who has been serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from the 51st District since 2006. He was born on September 25, 1961, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States.
Treadaway has had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement. He served for 31 years with the Birmingham Police Department, finishing his career as the assistant chief as appointed by Mayor Randall Woodfin. He retired from the police department in September 2020.
In addition to his work in law enforcement, Treadaway has been actively involved in various community and professional organizations. He has been a member of the Birmingham Retirement and Relief System Board and previously served on the board of the Birmingham Police and Fire Pension Board. He also served as president of the Birmingham Fraternal Order of Police and as director of Toys for Tots.
