Chip Brown is a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 105. He assumed office on November 7, 2018, and his current term ends on November 4, 2026. He ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 105 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Born and raised in south Alabama, Chip joined the Alabama Army National Guard and served on active duty with the U.S. Army and U.S. Central Command at the Forward Command Headquarters. He also served as a military adviser in Kabul, Afghanistan for NATO-International Security Assistance Force and U.S. Forces Afghanistan.

In addition to his military service, Chip has been a business owner, Realtor, and entrepreneur. He served as a CEO of a security training firm in his career. After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, he joined the Alabama Army National Guard and served on active duty with the US Army and US Central Command at the Forward Command Headquarters during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In terms of education, Chip attended Fairhope High School and later earned his Bachelor’s degree from Troy University. He has been involved in politics almost his entire life and even worked in the Legislature on staff, but this is his first elected position.

Throughout his tenure, Chip has been assigned to several committees including the Economic Development and Tourism Committee, House Education Policy Committee, Insurance Committee, Mobile County Legislation Committee, House Rules Committee, Urban and Rural Development Committee, and Baldwin County Legislation Committee.
