Born Brandon Craig Lipscomb on July 10, 1976, he graduated from Coosa Christian High School in 1994. He spent two years at Gadsden State Community College before transferring to Auburn, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. In his career, he worked at an architecture firm in his hometown and also served as a general contractor for two years.

Lipscomb ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 30 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His base salary as a legislator is $53,913 per year. No per diem is paid to legislators whose permanent residence is less than six hours away. Legislators who are 6-12 hrs from their permanent residence receive $12.75/day. Legislators who are over 12 hours away with no overnight receive $34/day.
