Representative Danny Crawford Contact information

Danny F. Crawford was born on June 6, 1950, in Belle Mina, Alabama, U.S. He grew up in the Belle Mina community on the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station farm. He worked his way through Auburn University, earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Crawford is a member of the Republican Party and has been serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from the 5th District since February 17, 2016. Before his political career, Crawford served as state director of the Farm Service Agency and worked as a crop insurance contractor.

In addition to his professional career, Crawford served on the Athens City Council from 1993 to 2005. He has been a member of the National Rifle Association. His commitment to public service and his community is evident in his long-standing involvement in these roles.

Over the years, Crawford has been assigned to various committees. In the 2023-2024 term, he was assigned to the Agriculture and Forestry Committee as Chair, House County and Municipal Government Committee, Limestone County Legislation Committee as Chair, and Transportation, Utilities and Infrastructure Committee.

Crawford ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 5 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on November 4, 2026.
