Representative Ed Oliver
Edward Banks Oliver, known as Ed Oliver, is an American politician who has been serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from the 81st district since 2018. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Born between 1955 and 1956 in Dadeville, Alabama, Oliver graduated from Dadeville High School in 1974. He then pursued higher education at the University of Alabama, graduating in 1979.
Before his political career, Oliver served as an aviator in the United States Army. He also worked as an air ambulance helicopter pilot. His experiences in these roles have undoubtedly shaped his perspective and approach to his work in the House of Representatives.
In 2018, Oliver decided to run for the Alabama House of Representatives in the Republican primary for the 81st district. He advanced to a runoff against Terry Martin, which he won.
