Representative Phillip Rigsby
Phillip Rigsby is a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 25. He assumed office on November 9, 2022, and his current term ends on November 4, 2026. Rigsby ran for election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 25 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Phillip Rigsby was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. He graduated from SR Butler High School in 1994. He then attended Auburn University and completed pharmacy school with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2000. After graduation, he returned to Huntsville and started his career working for Kroger Pharmacy.
In 2004, he began working at Huntsville Compounding Pharmacy and The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy. He later purchased both in 2015 and continues to work as a pharmacist at both locations. His career experience includes owning Huntsville Compounding Pharmacy and The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy.
Rigsby has served as the president of the Madison County Pharmacy Association, as the president of the Harrison School of Pharmacy Alumni Association, and on the board of directors of the Pharmacy Owners Alliance.
In the 2022 general election for Alabama House of Representatives District 25, Phillip Rigsby defeated Mallory Hagan. He successfully outran Democrat Mallory Hagan to represent House District 25 representing Huntsville, filling the seat of retiring Speaker Mac McCutcheon.
Phillip married his wife Pamela in 1998. She was a special education teacher at Sparkman High School, but after the birth of their boys, they decided she should be at home with them. She currently works with the Westminster athletic department facilitating concessions and she works as a pharmacy technician when needed at their pharmacies. Pamela also serves on the board of directors for a local non-profit organization, Next Step Farms, serving adults with special needs.
Their son Preston is 19 and will be a sophomore at The University of Alabama. He is studying marketing with aspirations to attend law school. Parker is 16 and will be a senior at Westminster Christian Academy. They are founding members of Providence Baptist Church.
