Thomas E. Jackson Jr., born on August 24, 1949, is an American politician who has been serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from the 68th district since 1994. He is a member of the Democratic Party and is also known as “Action”.

Jackson was born in Thomasville, Alabama, U.S. He received his Associate degree from Selma University, his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Knoxville College, and his Master’s degree in Education and Counseling from Alabama State University.

In addition to his political career, Jackson has served as an associate pastor at the Church of God in Christ and the director of the Upward Bound program at Alabama Southern Community College. He has been a member of the Alabama Education Association, Kappa Alpha Psi, Kiwanis Club, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the National Education Association.

Over the years, Jackson has been assigned to several committees including the Agriculture and Forestry Committee, Ethics and Campaign Finance Committee, Financial Services Committee, House Local Legislation Committee, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, House Rules Committee, Urban and Rural Development Committee, and the Legislative Committee on Public Accounts.

Jackson is a dedicated public servant with a strong commitment to his community. His current term ends on November 4, 2026.
