Representative Kevin McCabe Contact information

Kevin McCabe is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 30 in the Alaska House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 17, 2023, and his current term ends on January 21, 2025. Prior to his current position, he represented District 8.

McCabe was born in Hibbing, Minnesota, and currently resides in Big Lake, Alaska. He graduated from Hibbing High School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1976 to 1996, reaching the rank of chief petty officer. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Embry-Riddle University in 1998 and an M.B.A. from Regis University in 2005.

His career experience includes working as a flight captain with Atlas Air, a pilot and director of operation with Air Madura, chief pilot with Alaska Air Taxi, a pilot with Air Wisconsin and Southern Air Transport, with Clusiau’s Oldsmobile, and with Island Air Service. He has volunteered as a firefighter with the city of Kodiak, Alaska, and is a member of the Chief Petty Officers Association, the American Legion, the IBT Local 2750 Atlas Pilots, and the NRA.

In terms of his legislative assignments, McCabe was assigned to the following committees in 2023-2024: House Community & Regional Affairs Committee (Vice Chair), House Resources Committee, House Transportation Committee (Chair), and Legislative Council Committee (Vice Chair). In 2021-2022, he was assigned to the House Transportation Committee and House Community & Regional Affairs Committee.
