Representative Mike Cronk
Mike Cronk is a member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing District 36. He is a member of the Republican Party. He assumed office on January 17, 2023, and his current term ends on January 21, 2025. Prior to this, he represented District 6 in the Alaska House of Representatives.
Mike Cronk was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and currently resides in Tok, Alaska. He graduated from Walter Northway High School in 1987 and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks in 1992. His career experience includes working as a teacher at Walter Northway High School.
In the 2023-2024 term, Cronk was assigned to the House Finance Committee and the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee. In the 2021-2022 term, he was assigned to the House Resources Committee, House Transportation Committee, and House Education Committee.
Cronk ran for re-election to the Alaska House of Representatives to represent District 36 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. The general election for Alaska House of Representatives District 36 was won by Mike Cronk in round 1 with 65.7% of the total votes.
In addition to his political career, Mike Cronk has also been present at significant events such as the Route 91 Harvest festival mass shooting.
