Representative Stanley Wright
Stanley A. Wright, born around 1986, is an American politician from Alaska. He has been serving as a member of the Alaska House of Representatives since 2023, representing District 22 which covers East Anchorage.
Before his political career, Wright served in the United States Navy. After his military service, he worked as a community systems manager in Anchorage’s Community Safety and Development office. His career experience also includes working as a legislative liaison and special assistant to the commissioner of the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, a community outreach manager for the Alaska governor’s office, and the Municipality of Anchorage’s Housing and Urban Development grant program manager.
In the Alaska House, Wright has been assigned to several committees. He is the Vice Chair of the House State Affairs and the Chair of the House Military & Veterans’ Affairs. He is also a member of the House Natural Resources (Fin Sub), House Labor & Workforce Development (Fin Sub), House Revenue (Fin Sub), House Environmental Conservation (Fin Sub), House Resources, House Energy, House Labor & Commerce, House Administration (Fin Sub), House Joint Armed Services Committee, and House Military & Veterans’ Affairs (Fin Sub).
Wright ran for election to the Alaska House of Representatives to represent District 22 as a member of the Republican Party. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on January 21, 2025.
