Thomas McKay, born around 1959, is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 15 in the Alaska House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 17, 2023, and his current term ends on January 21, 2025.

McKay lives in Anchorage, Alaska. He earned a B.S. in petroleum engineering from Montana Tech in 1980 and an M.S. in environmental engineering from the University of Alaska at Anchorage in 2000. His career experience includes working as a petroleum engineer for companies such as Amoco, ARCO Alaska, ConocoPhillips, and BlueCrest Energy Alaska.

In addition to his professional career, McKay served as Chairman of the Alaska Republican Party. He ran for re-election to the Alaska House of Representatives to represent District 15 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

During his tenure, McKay has been assigned to several committees. In the 2023-2024 term, he served as the Chair of the House Resources Committee and was a member of the House Education Committee, House Transportation Committee, and House Community & Regional Affairs Committee. In the 2021-2022 term, he was a member of the House Resources Committee and House Transportation Committee.

McKay has also sponsored several bills during his legislative service.
