Senator Hildy Angius

Hildy Angius is a dedicated public servant and a prominent figure in Arizona politics. Born in 1975, she has made significant contributions to her community and state through her various roles in public service. Angius graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 1983 with a degree in English and Theater. Her early career saw her working in the print promotion department at VIACOM Entertainment, Showtime/The Movie Channel, and later as the managing editor at CableView Publications. She also served as the public relations manager for the Cable Television Advertising Bureau.

In 2012, Angius was elected to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, representing District 2 (Bullhead City). She ran unopposed in 2016 and 2020, demonstrating her strong support within the community. During her tenure, she successfully challenged federal and state agencies to overturn policies and laws that were detrimental to Mohave County and rural Arizona. She also played a crucial role in improving the administrative structure of Mohave County Government, all while maintaining a commitment to not raising taxes.

Angius has also been actively involved in the Mohave County Republican Central Committee, serving as the 1st Vice Chair from 2010 to 2014 and again from 2016 to 2018. Her dedication to public service and her ability to work across party lines have earned her a reputation as a problem solver and a strong advocate for her constituents.

In addition to her political career, Angius has been a small business owner and a radio talk show host. She hosted a one-hour radio talk show on Cameron Broadcasting, “Live and Local in the afternoon with Hildy Angius,” where she covered local events, county and city issues, and state politics.

In 2024, Angius ran for election to the Arizona State Senate to represent District 30. She won the general election on November 5, 2024, and assumed office on January 13, 2025. Her current term ends on January 11, 2027. As a state senator, Angius is committed to addressing issues such as reducing crime, ensuring election integrity, tackling the growing substance abuse and mental illness crisis, and addressing Arizona’s water issues.
