Kevin Payne, a member of the Republican Party, is currently serving in the Arizona House of Representatives, representing District 27. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term is set to end on January 13, 2025.

Born in Florence, Arizona, Payne served in the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1986 and was honorably discharged. His career experience includes working as an electrical engineer, aerospace technical consultant, and small business owner and operator.

Before his current tenure, Payne served in the Arizona House of Representatives for District 21. He succeeded Marcelino Quiñonez and was succeeded by Consuelo Hernandez. His base salary as a legislator is $24,000/year. In addition to his salary, he receives a per diem for the first 120 days of regular and special sessions and half that amount after the 120th day. The per diem for legislators residing outside of Maricopa County is tied to the federal rate.

Payne has served on a variety of committees throughout his legislative career.
