Senator Mark Finchem

Mark Finchem is a Republican member of the Arizona State Senate, representing District 1. He assumed office on January 13, 2025, and his current term will end in January 2027.

Mark William Finchem has been a prominent figure in Arizona politics for over a decade, known for his strong conservative views and his long-standing commitment to public service. Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1957, Finchem began his career in public safety, serving more than 20 years with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety in Michigan. He earned an associate degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College, later graduating summa cum laude from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor’s degree in State and Local Public Policy.
