James Earl Wooten, born on September 20, 1941, is an American politician who has been serving as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 45 and is a member of the Republican Party.
Wooten was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to Julian Simmons Wooten and Hazel Marie Lindsey. His father, Julian, passed away when Wooten was 17 due to a coronary occlusion.
Wooten began his tenure in the Arkansas House of Representatives from District 45 on January 14, 2019, succeeding Jeremy Gillam. He currently resides in Beebe, Arkansas, and is a member of the Baptist faith.
