Marc Alan Snyder was born on January 6, 1961. He is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party. He represents the 18th district in the Colorado House of Representatives, which is located in El Paso County.

Snyder assumed office on January 4, 2019. His current term ends on January 8, 2025. He was elected in the general election on November 6, 2018, winning 57 percent of the vote over 36 percent of the Republican candidate Mary Fabian.

In addition to his political career, Snyder has a background in law. He earned a law degree from Emory University in 1987 and has experience working as a private practice attorney. He resides in Manitou, Colorado.

Snyder’s volunteer experience includes working as a Restorative Justice Representative for the Peak Military Care Network in Colorado Springs. This organization connects military service members, veterans, and their families to high-quality resources provided by trusted community partners.

In terms of his legislative work, Snyder has been assigned to several committees during his tenure. For the 2023-2024 term, he serves as the Chair of the House Finance Committee and is also a member of the House Judiciary Committee.
