State Representative Cindy Harrison was elected to the represent the 69th district of Bridgewater, Roxbury, Southbury and Washington in 2020 and has served with distinction since. For the 2023-2024 session, House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora appointed Rep. Harrison to serve at the Ranking Member of the Commerce Committee.

State Representative Cindy Harrison was elected to the represent the 69th district of Bridgewater, Roxbury, Southbury and Washington in 2020 and has served with distinction since.

For the 2023-2024 session, House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora appointed Rep. Harrison to serve at the Ranking Member of the Commerce Committee. She will also serve on the Appropriations Committee and Environment Committee. Previously, she served on the Transportation Committee.

Representative Harrison is a graduate of Upsala College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. She received her MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut.

Representative Harrison is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who has extensive corporate experience and knowledge of management systems, beginning her career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers. While obtaining her Masters, Representative Harrison worked as Assistant Treasurer for the Comstock Group, one of the largest electrical construction companies in the United States, where she managed the financials for large construction projects, including power plants and transportation systems.

Representative Harrison has done forensic accounting work for the Resolution Trust, FBI, and IRS, and spent more than 20 years working with the Timex Group before transitioning her career to include a focus on public service. She spent five years (2015-2020) working for the Town of Southbury in both the First Selectman and Finance offices.

Representative Harrison was born and raised in Newtown, Connecticut, and has been a resident of Southbury for nearly 40 years. She is a charter member of St. James Lutheran Church in Southbury.

Representative Harrison and her husband Bob own and operate Breezy Knolls Farm, which has been in the family for five generations. Along with their daughters, Rebecca, an APRN and Emily, a Vice President of a fundraising consulting firm, they breed and raise Registered Polled Herefords receiving local, regional, and national recognition.

Representative Harrison can usually be found at the Southbury Farmer’s Market selling their all-natural, locally raised beef.
