Representatives Joe Polletta Contact information

State Representative Joe Polletta proudly serves the 68th General Assembly District representing Watertown, Oakville and Woodbury. A lifelong resident of Oakville, and a local small business owner, Rep. Polletta was elected to his first term in 2017 following a special election that saw him secure more than 70 percent of the vote. He was reelected to serve a fourth term in November, 2022.

For the 2023-24 legislative term, Rep. Polletta will serve on the Finance, Housing, Public Safety, and Legislative Management Committees. Additionally, Rep. Polletta was named as a House Republican Senior Whip for the 2023-24 legislative term, giving him an integral role in the negotiating and vote-getting processes.

During his tenure in the legislature, Rep. Polletta has become an authority on many issues ranging from housing, to public safety, to the state budget. In the 2022 legislative session, Joe testified in favor of strong community safety measures and for delivering state funding to the 68th District through investments in downtown infrastructure and school renovations.

Representative Polletta attended local schools, earned a political science degree from Fairfield University and currently serves as a member of the Watertown Town Council where he is focused on issues such as economic development, blight and the maintenance of town facilities.

He has worked as a local baseball coach and is active with both Crimestoppers and the Cercemaggiore Community Club.
