Ronald A Napoli Jr. is the State Representative serving Waterbury’s 73rd District seat. He is a member of the Education, Veteran Affairs, and Energy and Technology Committees in the 2019 legislative session.

Ronald A Napoli Jr. is the State Representative serving Waterbury’s 73rd District seat. He is a member of the Education, Veteran Affairs, and Energy and Technology Committees in the 2019 legislative session.

Ron serves on the Board of Alderman since 2009, including six years as the President Pro-Tempore. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Committee, Aldermanic representative to the Board of Park Commissioners, member of Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) and Chairman of the Good Job Liaison Committee. In addition, Ron is a member of Greenway Advisory Committee, Friends of the Greenway, member of the Waterbury Democratic Town Committee and the Italian-American Democratic Club.

He teaches World History at the Wilby High School in the Bucks Hill Section of Waterbury since 2004. As the Chairman of the Good Jobs Liaison Committee, Ron led efforts to modify local hiring ordinance to put Waterbury residents on publicly funded construction jobs and many have been placed.

Ron graduated from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI with a degree in European History and a minor in Political Science in 1999. Ron graduated with honors in 2003 from the University of Bridgeport with a degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies. Ron has received various recognitions including the 2018 Monsignor Coleman Award from Sacred Heart High School for outstanding success as an educator and public servant and voted the 2018 Most Effective Alderman by the Waterbury Observer Readers Poll.

Ron is a lifelong resident of Waterbury and when he’s not making laws, Ron enjoys hiking National Parks and spending quality time with his family and friends.
