Edward S. Osienski is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives, representing District 24. He was elected in 2010 after the retirement of Republican William Oberle.

Representative Ed Osienski represents the Brookside and Newark areas. He was born in Delaware and he and his family have lived in the community for 35 years. He enjoys and is honored to serve a diverse community that ranges from working-class seniors who are empty-nesters, to young couples planting their roots and starting a family. He has gotten to know many of them over the years from attending their civic association meetings and their community gatherings.

Elected in 2010, Rep. Osienski serves as the Chair of the Labor Committee, Vice Chair of the Transportation, Land Use and Infrastructure Committee, Vice Chair of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, Education Committee, and Capital Improvement and Infrastructure Committee. He also serves as the Chair of the Unemployment Insurance Advisory Council, Member Delaware Workforce Investment Board, and Member Council on Development Finance.

Rep. Osienski is a full-time legislator. He retired after 36 years in the fire sprinkler industry, and served as the past Business Agent for the Fire Sprinkler Fitters UA Local Union 669. Rep. Osienski graduated from DelCastle High School and attended Delaware Tech Community College.

Rep. Osienski has a proven track record of community and constituents service and that service has only improved with his years of experience in Dover.

Rep. Osienski is active with several non-profits organizations including the Board of Directors for Newark Senior Center, Meals-on-Wheels, the Newark Community Advisory Panel, the Brookside Lions and the Newark NAACP.
