Representative Danny Nix

Danny Nix is a dedicated public servant and commercial realtor who currently represents District 75 in the Florida House of Representatives. Born on August 4, 1977, in Athens, Georgia, Nix grew up in Danielsville, Georgia, before moving to Florida in 2011. He resides in Placida, Florida, with his wife Carla and their two children.

Nix’s educational journey began at Keiser University, where he earned an associate degree in business administration and management in 2014. He furthered his education at Western Governors University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2016. His academic background laid a strong foundation for his career in real estate, where he has worked as a commercial realtor.

In 2024, Nix entered the political arena and was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 75, which includes parts of southern Sarasota County and Charlotte County. He succeeded term-limited Republican Michael J. Grant. As a member of the Florida House, Nix has been actively involved in various committees, including the Education & Employment Committee, the Education Administration Subcommittee, the Joint Select Committee on Collective Bargaining, the Civil Justice & Claims Subcommittee, the Government Operations Subcommittee, and the PreK-12 Budget Subcommittee.

Nix’s legislative service is marked by his commitment to his constituents and his dedication to improving the quality of life in his district. He has been a strong advocate for education, employment, and government operations, working tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of his community.

Outside of his professional and political life, Nix enjoys a variety of recreational activities. He is an avid college football fan and enjoys fishing, golf, hunting, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends. His nondenominational faith plays a significant role in his life, guiding his values and principles.
