John Snyder, born on April 13, 1987, is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Florida House of Representatives for the 86th district. He assumed office on November 3, 2020.

Snyder was born in Hobe Sound, Florida. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2007 and served until 2012. After his military service, Snyder pursued higher education and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

His father, William Snyder, had also served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2006 to 2012 and is a current sheriff for Martin County. Following in his father’s footsteps, John Snyder has dedicated his career to public service.

Beyond his political career, Snyder is a business owner in the staffing and payroll services industry. He resides in Stuart, Florida with his spouse, Brittany Snyder, and their two children, Elizabeth and Reagan.

Snyder’s commitment to his community extends beyond his political and professional life. He has served on the advisory council of the Center for Constitutional Values, the leadership advisory council of Place of Hope, and the leadership team of the Treasure Coast Classical Academy.

As of 2024, Snyder is a representative for Florida House of Representatives District 86. He assumed this office on November 8, 2022, and his current term ends on November 5, 2024. He has declared his candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on August 20, 2024.
