Representative John Temple
John Temple, born on May 11, 1976, is an American politician and educator who is currently serving as a member of the Florida House of Representatives for the 52nd district. He assumed office on November 8, 2022.
Temple was born in Texas and moved with his family to Florida in 1981. He pursued his education in Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in math education from Southeastern University and a Master of Science in education leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Before his political career, Temple began his professional journey as a math teacher at McKeel Academy of Technology. His dedication and passion for education led him to become a school administrator, where he served as an assistant principal, principal, and director of professional learning and accountability for the Sumter District Schools.
In November 2022, Temple was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, marking the beginning of his political career. As a representative, he has been actively involved in various committees, contributing his expertise and leadership.
On a personal note, Temple is married to Jessica Temple and they have two children, Jenna and Julia. He enjoys golfing and spending time with his family and friends. He is also a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
