Jervonte “Tae” Edmonds is a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 88. He assumed office on March 8, 2022. His current term ends on November 5, 2024. Edmonds is running for re-election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 88. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on August 20, 2024.

Edmonds was born on June 11, 1991, in Titusville, FL. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, where he earned his BA in 2015. He also graduated from the Dale Carnegie Leadership Institute and the Florida State University College of Business Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship for Nonprofit Executives.

He is the CEO and Founder of a company and resides in West Palm Beach. His interests include reading and writing books. He has been elected to the Florida House of Representatives and has been reelected subsequently.

Edmonds has been affiliated with several organizations. He has served as an Executive Board Member of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, a Trustee of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, and a Board Member of the Edna Runner Tutorial Center. He has also been an Executive Board Member and Honoree of Legacy MIA Magazine’s “40 under 40”, an Executive Trustee of Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, an Advisory Board Member of Salvation Army and Sequel’s Palm Beach Youth Academy, and a Board Member of South Florida Fair.

He has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career. These include the Nonprofit of the Year, Small Category Nominee by the Black Chamber of Commerce PBC in 2023, the Nonprofit of the Year, Small Category Nominee by Nonprofits First in 2022 and 2021, the Leadership Excellence Nominee by Leadership Palm Beach County in 2021, the Keeper of the Torch Award by West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta in 2021, and many more.

Edmonds is also a children’s book author. He has written “Everything Will Be Fine” (2022), “To the Moon and Back” (2020), and “Adventures of the Rich and Famous” (2018).
