Tom Leek is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 28 in the Florida House of Representatives. He assumed office on November 8, 2022, and his current term ends on November 5, 2024. Prior to this, he served in the Florida House of Representatives District 25.

Born on August 6, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio, Tom Leek now resides in Ormond Beach, Florida. He has a rich educational background, having earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 1992, and a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University in 1997.

In his professional life, Tom Leek has worked as a Chief Legal Officer. He is married to Michelle of Delaware and they have two children, Alexandria J. Leek and Sarah E. Leek. He is affiliated with the Presbyterian church.

Tom Leek has a keen interest in boating, college football, and fishing. His political career has been marked by significant committee assignments. In the 2023-2024 term, he was assigned to the House Appropriations Committee (as Chair), Commerce Committee, and House Judiciary Committee. In the 2021-2022 term, he chaired the Pandemics & Public Emergencies Committee and was a member of the House Appropriations Committee.

In the 2019-2020 term, he served on the House Appropriations Committee, Public Integrity & Elections Committee (as Chair), and Health & Human Services Committee. At the beginning of the 2017 legislative session, he served on the Public Integrity and Ethics committee.

Tom Leek ran for re-election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 28 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. He is now looking forward to contributing more to his district and the state of Florida.
