Farooq Mughal is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 105 in the Georgia House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Mughal ran for election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 105 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. He lives in Dacula, Georgia.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology from Mercer University in 2000. His career experience includes working as the principal/managing partner and a general civil mediator with MSGlobal Partners.

Mughal served as the president of the FBI Atlanta Citizens Academy Alumni Association and the chair of the Gwinnett County Community Outreach Advisory Board.

In the 2022 elections, Mughal defeated Sandy Donatucci in the general election for Georgia House of Representatives District 105. He received 51.7% of the votes, totaling 10,505 votes.
