Representative Gregg Kennard
Gregg Kennard is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 101 in the Georgia House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term ends on January 13, 2025. He ran for re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 101 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Kennard was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He has remained in Georgia his entire life, most of that time residing in Gwinnett County. He attended Bible college and has been in occupational ministry for over 30 years. In addition to his political career, Kennard’s professional experience includes working as a life coach with the John Maxwell Team and the executive director of Nspire Outreach, Inc. He is also an accomplished musician.
In the 2023-2024 term, Kennard was assigned to the following committees: Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications Committee, Industry and Labor Committee, Motor Vehicles Committee, and Small Business Development Committee. He had similar assignments in the 2021-2022 term and the 2019-2020 term.
In the general election for Georgia House of Representatives District 101, incumbent Gregg Kennard defeated Zach Procter. Kennard received 55.3% of the votes, totaling 10,681 votes, while Procter received 44.7% of the votes, totaling 8,646 votes.
Kennard is a family man and has been married to his best friend, Pam, since 1991. They have three children: Alex, Abbe, and Anna Marie.
