Senator Samantha DeCorte

Samantha DeCorte is a dedicated American politician serving as a member of the Hawaii Senate for the 22nd district. A member of the Republican Party, she assumed office on November 5, 2024, succeeding Cross Makani Crabbe. DeCorte’s journey to the state senate was marked by determination and resilience. In 2022, she ran for the state senate in the 22nd district but narrowly lost to the Democratic incumbent, Maile Shimabukuro, by just 40 votes. Undeterred, she ran again in 2024 and emerged victorious, defeating Democrat Cedric Gates.

She has led numerous efforts, including community clean-ups, food drives, school supply drives, care packages, and food deliveries to the homeless community.
