Tyson Miyake is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 10. He assumed office on January 1, 2024. His current term is set to end on November 5, 2024. He was appointed to the Hawaii House of Representatives District 10 by Governor Joshua Green on December 15, 2023, to replace Troy Hashimoto.

Before his political career, Tyson Miyake was a successful businessman. From 2005 to 2019, he ran a concrete accessories business. His career took a turn towards public service in 2019 when he became the Deputy Managing Director of the County of Maui. He continued to serve the community in this role until 2023. Following this, he served as the Chief of Staff for the County of Maui from 2020 to 2023.

In addition to his professional achievements, Tyson Miyake has been active in his community. He has served as a director on the American Cancer Society Hawai‘i Pacific board and as a mentor to the Maui High School Academy of Hospitality & Tourism. He has also previously served on the executive board of the Boy Scouts of America, among other engagements with nonprofit, civic, and professional organizations.

Tyson Miyake holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, which he earned in 2005.
