Representative Bruce Skaug Contact information

Bruce D. Skaug is an American attorney and politician. He is a member of the Republican Party and has been serving as a representative of the 10th district in the Idaho House of Representatives since 2020.

Born in Pocatello, Idaho, Bruce was raised in Jerome and has been a resident of Nampa since 1992. He earned an associate degree in social sciences from the College of Southern Idaho. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in political science and a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law.

After graduating from law school, Bruce worked as a civil practice attorney. He also served as the deputy prosecutor of Ada County, Idaho. Prior to his election to the Idaho House of Representatives, he was a member of the Nampa City Council from 2014 to 2020.

Bruce has been successful in passing bills into law that limit government bureaucracy and protect freedom, demonstrating his credentials as a proven conservative. He is known for listening to his constituents and solving problems.

In addition to his political career, Bruce has served on the boards of multiple nonprofit organizations. He is an avid historian and enjoys ATV riding. He has been married to Debbie since 1986 and they have six adult children and six grandchildren.

Bruce ran for re-election to the Idaho House of Representatives to represent District 10B and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on December 1, 2024.
