Representative Chris Allgood
Representative Christopher M. “Chris” Allgood is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 11B in the Idaho House of Representatives. He is currently serving his first term.
Chris Allgood was born and raised in Caldwell, Canyon County. As a teenager, he worked on farms and ranches while in high school and beyond. At the age of 22, he was hired as a police officer in Caldwell. For the next thirty years, he worked for Caldwell Police, moving up through the ranks.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in leadership and management from George Fox University. After retiring from the police force, he became the owner and lead investigator of a private investigation company. He has also served as the president of the Caldwell City Council.
In the Idaho House of Representatives, he holds a seat on several committees, including Environment, Energy & Technology; Judiciary, Rules & Administration; and State Affairs.
He assumed office on December 1, 2022, after winning the general election on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on December 1, 2024.
Chris Allgood is married to Alisha Allgood and they have two adult children.
