Representative Josh Wheeler Contact information

Josh Wheeler is a dedicated public servant and business executive, currently serving as a representative in the Idaho House of Representatives. He represents District 35B and is a member of the Republican Party.

Born and raised in Ammon, Idaho, Josh has deep roots in his community. He graduated from Hillcrest High School and later pursued higher education. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University in 2001 and furthered his education by obtaining an MBA from Idaho State University in 2015.

Before his political career, Josh gained valuable experience in the business sector. He is one-third of the third-generation owners at Wheeler Electric, an eastern Idaho electrical contractor. His career experience also includes working as the president of Wheeler Electric, Inc. and a project engineer with Layton Construction.

Josh’s journey into politics began when he served on the Ammon City Council. His dedication to public service led him to run for election to the Idaho House of Representatives to represent District 35B. He won the general election on November 8, 2022, and assumed office on December 1, 2022. His current term ends on December 1, 2024.

In the Idaho House of Representatives, Josh is part of several committees. He serves on the Commerce & Human Resources Committee, the Environment, Energy & Technology Committee, and the Health & Welfare Committee.

Josh is married to Dr. Laramie Wheeler, and they are proud parents of six children. His commitment to his family, community, and public service continues to guide his work in the Idaho House of Representatives.
