Representative Stephanie Mickelsen
Stephanie Jo Mickelsen is a dedicated public servant and an influential member of the Idaho House of Representatives. She represents District 32, House Seat A, and is affiliated with the Republican Party.
Born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Stephanie is deeply rooted in her community. She graduated from Blackfoot High School and went on to earn an associate degree in economics from Brigham Young University–Idaho.
Stephanie is not just a politician; she is also a successful potato farmer. She has farmed for over 34 years with her husband, Mark. Together, they own Mickelsen Farms, LLC, Yellowstone Seed, LLC, Rigby Produce, Inc., and Potato Products of Idaho.
Before her political career, Stephanie served as the Idaho Farm Bureau State Director and was a trustee at the College of Eastern Idaho. She has always been passionate about agriculture and its importance to Idaho’s economy and way of life.
In her current role as a state representative, Stephanie is a member of several committees, including Environment, Energy & Technology, Resources & Conservation, and Revenue & Taxation. These appointments allow her to influence policies that directly impact her constituents and the state of Idaho.
Stephanie is also the chair of the Bonneville Jefferson Groundwater District and co-chair of the Idaho Groundwater Appropriators. In addition, she serves on the Board of Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC), further demonstrating her commitment to her community.
Stephanie and Mark are proud parents to four children: Andrew, Michelle, Sam, and Chelsea. They are also blessed with 14 grandchildren. Stephanie’s family is a source of strength and inspiration for her, motivating her to work tirelessly for the betterment of her district and the state of Idaho.
