Representative Tanya Burgoyne

Tanya Burgoyne is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 29B. She assumed office on December 1, 2024, after defeating the incumbent Nate Roberts in the general election held on November 5, 2024. Tanya is a member of the Republican Party and is committed to upholding conservative values and principles.

Tanya was born and raised in Idaho, where she developed a deep love for her community and a strong sense of civic duty. She earned a liberal arts degree from Ricks College, which provided her with a well-rounded education and a solid foundation for her future endeavors. Throughout her life, Tanya has been actively involved in various community organizations and initiatives, always striving to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her.

Before entering politics, Tanya was a homemaker and an entrepreneur. She has always been passionate about empowering individuals and promoting self-reliance and personal accountability. Her experiences as a wife, mother, and business owner have given her a unique perspective on the challenges faced by Idaho families and the importance of creating policies that support and strengthen them.

In addition to her role as a state representative, Tanya serves as the precinct committee chairman and the Bannock County state chairwoman. She is also a member of several key committees in the Idaho House of Representatives, including Commerce & Human Resources, Environment, Energy & Technology, and Health & Welfare. Through her work on these committees, Tanya is dedicated to addressing the pressing issues facing her constituents and ensuring that their voices are heard in the state legislature.
