Representative Lance Yednock
Lance Yednock is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 76th district. The district includes Bureau, LaSalle, DeKalb County, Putnam, and Livingston counties in north central Illinois. Yednock was sworn into office on January 9, 2019.
Before his political career, Yednock worked as a business representative with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150. He also spent 28 years working as an equipment operator. His dedication and hard work in this role played a significant part in shaping his understanding of labor issues and the importance of workers’ rights.
In the 2018 general election, Yednock defeated one-term incumbent Jerry Lee Long. This victory marked the beginning of his political career and his commitment to serving the people of the 76th district.
Yednock is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. His education has played a crucial role in his approach to legislation and public service, providing him with a broad perspective on a range of issues.
